Carved hardwood shrine figure, probably of Yoruba origin, depicting a seated figure holding a vessel across the chest. The figure features stylized almond-shaped eyes, an open mouth with carved teeth, and incised geometric decoration throughout. A rectangular mortise to the reverse suggests it was originally mounted as part of a shrine or architectural element. Rich, dark patina with expected wear consistent with age and use.
